Established in the year 1989 as a Society Manush has come a long way in its commitment to address a major issues of the dalit, communities and other tribal caste of rural communities. Manush came into being because of a common vision of a group of like – minded persons from the fields of social work and education. The commitment we so intense that the process of identifying the right project area and the right beneficiaries were taken up with single mindedness. This resulted in Chintamani Taluk of Kolar district in the State of Karnataka being chosen as the target area for development work.

ORGANISATION: Registered as a Society under the Karnataka Societies Act 1960, the main aim of Manush was to improve the living conditions, promote empowerment and self-reliance among the rural poor. In due source FCRA number 094420598 was obtained, a permanent Account number in income tax Pan No.AAATM4258L. FCRA bank account is being operated vide savings account No. 16069 at Canara Bank, Shanti Nagar Branch.

Manush has staff with various responsibilities like teaches, grass root level trainers, project director, co-ordinators, field workers and volunteers. It is ensured that they meet regularly and share experiences, problems and difficulties.  All staff is exposed to training / seminars / workshops and capacity building programmes regularly.
