The community has 120 days 150 days of agricultural and casual work. Few women running a petty business at their door step which also fetch very low income.
The youths are after drop outs or discontinuing the secondary education. They are vulnerable to antisocial activities like preparation of local liquor, gambling, etc.
Rural men and women with conventional skills:
Some are making plastic flower, basket and pot making, for their livelihood which fetch very low income.
The community people don’t have knowledge on new trends or new innovative approach, in production of new things and also in marketing
The men and women are following old type of products basket, pot, and floriculture
There fore the target community get low income from their products and also at times find difficult for regular marketing.
Activities:
Eligible youths will be identified and enrolled in various institutions according to their ability and feasibility.
MANUSH will start a vocational training centre and provide formal and nonformal job oriented courses for the youth in the target area.
Manush will negotiate with the employer for the proper salary and also introduce savings among the beneficiaries
Manush will follow the needy cases and advocate about the minimum wages and labour rights.
Manush will organize periodical meeting, visit to the working place, organize in- service training and conduct training on Life skills.
Manush will identify local conventional skills and upgrade the skills to enhance their skill and income
Manush will conduct short course for new trends, conduct exhibition and organize exposure visit
Manush will introduce new marketing techniques and provide support for marketing.
Manush will provide training on costing skills and provide technical support to fix the price.

The target villages selected are remote where poverty stricken people live in overwhelming number. We continue to work in all the target villages for the past six years. Due to the strategic approach in our initiatives, we need to work for sustainability of the target community.
